Our products and services span technologies and industries, providing a wide array of training opportunities for Florida's citizens with disabilities.

Goodwill Big Bend Contract CrewGoodwill Industries- Big Bend, Inc. is Making Headlines

June 2010 - Keeping Florida beautiful; Starting this past January, Goodwill Big Bend, in partnership with Respect of Florida, began a one-year contract with the Florida Department of Transportation. Their mission is to pick up litter on selected state highways and to mow the grass around DOT holding ponds. DOT likes the Contract Crew's work so much they've already approved the contract for 2011 and gave them a second contract, adding more highways to the list. This additional contract will allow Goodwill to hire many more workers and at least one additional supervisor.  To read the Panama City News Herald story, go here.

This Certification Packet has all information needed to submit for EC certification.  Packet includes: Checklist, 60E-1 Florida Administrative Code, Certfification Application, Chapter 413 information, and Definitions.

  AUTHORIZATIONS

In accordance with Section 413.036, Florida Statutes, all purchases of commodities and services on the RESPECT procurement list shall be made under the terms, prices, and conditions of the procurement list by agencies of the state and any political subdivision of the state.

Rule 60E-1: Commission for Purchase from the Blind or Other Severely Handicapped

Competitive Bidding Exemption:
In the purchase by ordering office of commodities and services on the procurement list, purchasing offices are exempt from the competitive bidding requirements of Chapter 287, Part I, Florida Statutes, or other applicable local ordinances- Section 60E-1.005, Florida Administrative Code.
